Rinse your sponge with cold or lukewarm water before first use to activate its fibres. Apply soap or a little gel and use it with circular movements — a very light pressure is enough for effective exfoliation.
To make it last longer:
- After each use, wring the sponge out well and let it air dry hanging up.
- Every 7–10 days, put the sponge in the dishwasher or soak it in boiling water for 2–3 minutes.
- When you notice the fibres losing firmness (usually between 6 and 8 weeks), take it to the compost or organic waste bin.
We send all orders from our workshop in Galicia. Estimated times are:
- Mainland Spain: 2–4 business days.
- Balearic and Canary Islands: 4–7 business days.
- European Union: 5–10 business days.
Shipping is free over €60 in mainland Spain and €80 in the rest of the EU. You'll receive your order tracking by email as soon as it leaves the workshop.
Is loofah really compostable?
Yes. It's a 100% natural plant fibre — no dyes, no chemical treatments. At the end of its life it goes straight to the compost or organic waste bin.
How long does a loofah sponge last?
With proper care, between 6 and 8 weeks of daily use. Home pieces (scrubbers) usually last a bit longer thanks to less frequent use.
